Konrad “Jay Walsh is a 19 year veteran of the Winston-Salem Fire Department, where he oversees a platoon as a Division Chief. He serves as the coordinator for the department’s behavioral health program, which includes the peer support team and chaplaincy program. He is also involved in the City of Winston-Salem’s mentoring program where he dedicates his time to helping others prepare for leadership roles. Outside of work, he is an avid mountain biker and cycling coach. Married for 11 years to a wife that loves the outdoors just as much as he does, they embark on many outdoor adventures together. The behavioral health of all first responders is his passion, and he is excited to be a part of the NCFFPS program.
