J.T. has served in the fire service since January 2011 as a firefighter. He has served as a full time civilian police officer since October 2011, where he has worked in the patrol division, and in the IMPACT Division on the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Unit and the Traffic Enforcement Unit. J.T. served in the United States Air Force as a Security Forces Team Leader until an honorable discharge in 2010. J.T. was first introduced to peer support in 2015 after two major critical incidents. After seeing the difference peer support can make, he became a peer team member, so he could help other first responders. In his free time, J.T. enjoys riding motorcycles and playing music.
